Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking a maintenance lead to be actively engaged in building and developing a team that takes ownership over safety, electrical, and mechanical maintenance functions of the Towers and Structures facility.
The maintenance lead will help facilitate the creation of a maintenance team for a production line at a temporary location in Crawfordsville, IN, before moving to the permanent NTS site in Crawfordsville, IN.
The site will feature state-of-the-art machinery for advanced steel manufacturing, and the team will be responsible for safely maximizing equipment productivity and uptime.
The team must be able to support the integration and maintenance of the new equipment so that it can be optimized by the team for production.
The lead will play an integral role in this by:
Supporting development of safe work practices and procedures for the facilityHelping recruit and hire a diverse and high-achieving teamHelping train, develop, and coach the maintenance teamAttending and facilitating relevant trainings on equipment and maintenance best practicesScheduling, planning and prioritizing repairs while maintaining communication with the team Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience2 years industrial maintenance experienceLeadership presence, inspire, motivate, and empower others.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Leadership experienceTwo or four year technical degree or equivalentCompetency with various computer and mobile applications, ex.
