The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Maintenance Engineer for a major food manufacturing company in Texas. The qualified individual will lead and supervise the effective executions of all maintenance projects within the facility. He or she will also handle projects for the facilities' external properties on an as needed basis. The Maintenance Engineer must have a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Responsibilities
Participates in and supports plant initiatives
Organizes and defines tasks within the department
Completes data entry and routine paperwork as required
Develops overall plans for shutdown, major maintenance overhauls and projects
Creates, controls and monitors maintenance budgets
Coordinates with inventory control, planning and scheduling and maintenance purchasing for all products, repairs, meetings and work schedules
Controls duration, quality, thoroughness and cost of all maintenance work for the facility
Updates and maintains reports and spreadsheets while meeting deadlines; audits all work for errors
Works cross functionally with all organizational levels
Provides ongoing support to the team in regards to troubleshooting, assigned projects and daily activities
Communicates with vendors and operations regarding capital projects and equipment issues
Formulates responses to EPA programs
Follows all established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet company and regulatory requirements
Supports the creation, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
Delegates assignments to correct personnel
Determines necessary training and development needs to department personnel
Supervises and coaches direct reports
Conducts performance reviews and provides feedback to reports
Protects all sensitive and confidential information
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering highly preferred)
3
years' experience in a progressive engineering role within a manufacturing setting
Food/Beverage/CPG (consumer products) manufacturing experience is a major plus
Must have a strong preventative maintenance background
Must have a strong knowledge of GMP's, Food Safety Principles, EPA and OSHA Requirements
Ability to work well in a fast paced, high speed manufacturing environment
Solid organizational and planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel on an as needed basis
Salary: $65,000-$75,000
